Marble Nails (Saran Wrap Method)

My newest nailcapade are the marble nails. I tried the saran wrap method because I figured it would fairly easy... and it was! I loooove how they came out! I ransacked my nieces nail polish and decided on a pretty powder pink and a shimmery yellow. I saw on youtube a video on how to do it, so I wasn't that worried about the technique.... just the colors. I hate yellow. The only problem I had was cutting the stupid plastic wrap.

Dotted Nails

Last week I decided to do dotted nails. I've always wanted to try them, but could never get my hands on a dotting tool. Then one day, I saw a post that someone used a toothpick for her dots. I then decided to do some digging on the internet to find out other ideas for dotting tools. I found out that you can use all kinds of things! Oh I was sooo excited!

I decided on a bobby pin because I figured that was a medium size for a dot. I put on my base coat and applied the white. And then I got a piece of paper and poured tiny amounts of the polish on it, so it would be easier access.... and it totally was! I also used one pin for each color, but I surmised that two would do because it has two ends.... DUH! haha... Live and learn, live and learn.
I liked them, but the white wasn't very good quality so I had them on for two days... moooob ): Buuut I will definitely be doing some dotting again! (:
P.S. Sorry, I didn't get a chance to clean them up before they got messed up...laame

First attempt at Zebra Print Nails

A few days ago, I did my nails. I decided to do them a beautiful pink, almost like a hot pink, with zebra stripes. I decided on zebra stripes because I realllly wanted to try out my new nail art polishes by Kiss. I even went on youtube to find videos on how to do them properly. I am determined to do cute things on my nails, so that I won't have to get them professionally done ever again, lol. Anyways, I did two coats of the pink and prepared myself to do the stripes. I started with my right hand (because it's the hardest to do since I'm right handed), tried to remember the videos, hoped for the best. Before I knew it, I was done and they didn't look too shabby. That gave me hope, for if I could do "eh" with my left I should be able to do the same, if not better, with my right. BOOM! Hellz yeeeah, I can do this shit, is what I thought to myself. So I let my hand dry a little bit and set to work on the last of the stripes.... All I have to say is I cannot wait to get a job after I graduate this class so I can get some more colors to do zebra stripes on! I even did my nieces nails in red, and she told me that all of her teachers complimented her on her nails. That made me smile!!! OMG, There is going to be waaay more designs and colors in my future, just you wait.
